The Prairie View A&M University Parents' Association's primary purpose is to foster mutual support and involvement between the University and parents.

Members include all parents (here after defined to also incude legal guardians, spouses, and others who provide primary support of student) of current or former students-including those whose studies at the Unversity were interrupted. In addition, members of the University faculty and staff (including retirees) are eligible for associate membership in the association. Their goals are to create a sense of community and communication among parents, students, and the liaisions with the University and to help the University achieve goals benficial to its operation.
